About the Arts Council
The Highland County Arts Council (HCAC) believes that the arts are essential to our communities. HCAC supports and encourages artists by holding classes, workshops, and camps. We facilitate regular exhibits and performances with local artists and artisans.

The Highland County Arts Council is a nonprofit [501(c)3] organization supported by contributions from friends, the sale of tickets, and by certain grant programs based on these contributions. Much of our work is done by enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers. However, there are many areas where the Council needs your contributions.

Your donations are used to assist in offsetting current operating expenses including rent and insurance, student scholarship funds, guest artists and performers, exhibits, and for expenses connected to publicity like our website, printing posters, advertising in newspapers and on the radio.

We hope that you will share our mission to strengthen and maintain cultural activities in Highland County. If you have suggestions or comments, please contact us. If you are a performer or artist who would like to share your talent, contact one of our Board members, or the Executive Director at the e-mail provided on the contact page.

The Board of Directors meet the 1st Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm at the Highland Center.
